I have moved!!!

September 4, 2009

That’s right SKP fans….we have packed up our home and moved to Charleston, SC. This was not something that was in the making a long time. My wonderful husband got an awesome job promotion that required to relocate and let’s face it, who wouldn’t want to live in Charleston near the beach? I know we have always dreamed of living near the coast so when he got the offer, it was a no brainer for us. I spent 2 weeks packing up my home and we moved this past weekend into our awesome new place! So many more photo shoot spots here. Don’t worry my Charlotte fans, I will still be back in Charlotte here and there. My family still lives in Charlotte so I will be taking lots of mini trips on weekends there. If you would like to book a session, just shoot me an email or give me a ring and I will let you know when I will be there. Most likely, once a month or every other month! I will try and post on my blog when I will be heading there. Now to update my site and get it running the way I want. Enjoying some much needed time with my 3 year old daughter for the moment then off to unpack the endless pile of boxes! Have a great Labor Day weekend everyone!

Kellie: Hi Shelly!! Good Luck with your Move!! It sounds perfect!!! Emma still talks about you often!!! Have a great weekend!! Kellie

I’m still here!

July 27, 2009

I have had so much going on lately that I have not found the time to sit down and blog to all my wonderful fans! As you all can see, I have been working on my website all year. lol. Between working a full time job and doing sessions on weekends, and finding time to spend with my family, I just have not found the time to finish up my site. I have made a huge life decision and decided not to work my full time job anymore. As of August 20, 2009 I will have all the time in the world! Yay! I cannot wait. I will finally have the time to do all the stuff with my kids that I have been wanting to do for a long time. Why wait until August 20th? Well, I am a store manager and I have to take some time to teach the new manager all the duties. I have been working for my wonderful boss on and off for 5 years now and I want to make sure I leave the store in good hands. I enjoyed all my time with this company but now it’s time to concentrate on my own business. So with that said, for the remainder of the year I will be taking very limited sessions. I want to pour my time into completing my website and helping my oldest start the first year of kindergarten on the right foot. So, if you want a session with me, I would book it ASAP.

What else is new? I’ll tell you what. With me not working my full time job anymore, I have taken on another job that will not take up as much of my time. I am the newest Stella & Dot Stylist!!!! I am so excited since I am a huge fan of Jewelry. Have you heard of them before? If not, you have to go check it out. http://stelladot.com/. Let me know if you would like to book a Stella & Dot Jewelry Party!

A few days ago I set out to get some shots of my kiddos with daddy. They were fine with that as long as I agreed to let them direct the photo shoot. Well as you can see below, they have some wacky poses. I’m thinking about adding a kids directed photo shoot to my services. My oldest is pretty impressive with her posing. lol. Enjoy the storyboard of life in my home!

Amanda Prince: haha, these are great... and just in time for father's day! Daddy's little girls are the BEST! :)

Sara Mellander: Sooo cute! We are way over due for this too.

Kellie: Loooooooooove it! So Sweet!!!

Candy Howard: These are wonderful!!

And another sneak peek from a Celebrating Adoption session and oh my is she a cutie! Meet Simone. She has the prettiest eyes I have ever seen! She was very cooperative and couldn’t keep her eyes off the camera! A photographers dream! I so wanted to take this little beauty home with me.

Wendi: I adore the picture of Mom & Baby!

Amanda Prince: LOVE LOVE the second! What a great moment... and what a cute baby! :)

christine Watley: I just posted on PFN but just wanted to say again how I adore these!

Sara Mellander: These are fantastic!!

Candy Howard: They are both gorgeous! Lovely!

Jane Eaton Hamilton: What a beautiful baby, and they look so so happy together in that last one.

I had a session with a wonderful little girl over the weekend as part of Celebrating Adoption (http://www.celebratingadoption.org/). If you or anyone you know is an adopting family, please spread the word about Celebrating Adoption.

This is Lidia and what a great personality she has. Every time I squatted to get at her eye level, she did too! It was soo cute! This is one of my favorite shots from the shoot so I had to stop editing for a minute and share this one. Enjoy!

Sara Mellander: She is SO SO cute!!!!

Amanda Prince: So unbeleiveably CUTE!!!!! Love this!

Candy Howard: Oh my, she is just adorable! Beautiful job! Can't wait to see more!

Check out these super cool bags that help the environment. Baggu bags are re-useable and super cute! They come in tons of different colors and sizes. Check them out at http://baggubag.com

Taken off Baggu’s site:
We are working to replace paper & plastic bags with something that does the same job without creating needless waste or harming the environment. Using one Baggu for one year replaces 300 to 700 disposable bags. That helps reduce some of the 100 billion plastic bags sent to a landfill in the US last year.

We made Baggu because we wanted a better Reusable Bag. Something neat & compact, stylish enough to take to work or to give as a gift, but really practical so you’ll actually use it for your grocery shopping. Whether you love electric purple or classic black, with a palate of over 40 colors Baggu blends in with anyone’s personal style.”

Yum yum good!

April 15, 2009

I love potatoes! Always have. I decided to have a potato dinner tonight and I’m glad I did because they were delicious. I saw these somewhere on the internet not to long ago and gave it a shot. Took all of about 5 minutes to prepare. Gotta love that!

Want to make some yourself? It’s super easy. Cut up some red potatoes and give them a light coating of Olive Oil (I used Olive Oil cooking spray). Next grab some seasoning and dash away. I used some parsley flakes and a little oregano. Next sprinkle some italian breads crumbs all over potatoes and mix it up a little with a spoon. Bake in the over at 450° for about 30 minutes and viola! A yummy side dish!

Sara Mellander: Nice shot! They look great!

Cat: Another thing I like to do with potatoes is add some butter to the baking dish, a little bit of garlic, and some kosher salt. Bake @ 450 until they are tender. They are SOO good!

wendi: Yum! And I always like to add some red pepper flakes to mine... To spice them up a bit!

Well for my kids at least. They love birthdays! Guess whose birthday it is on the 18th? Mine! I will be a whole whopping 29 years old! I know, I know. I’m still young. I never said I was getting old. Sooo guess what? I want to celebrate with all my fans. I’ve got a BIG DEAL for you. The first 18 people who pay their session fee will save 29% off their session fee and prints. That’s right! Get your spot today. Sessions just needs to take place by the end of the year so reserve your spot today! But that is not all! I want my fans to search the net high and low and find me the funniest birthday card ever. I want to fall out of my chair laughing. The person who sends me the funniest card will get a double discount on their session fee. 58% off their session fee. If I find more than one”knock me off my chair funny” greeting, then I will extend the discount to multiple winners. Send all birthday greetings to info@shellykeefe.com

Wendi: What a great deal you offered! I turned 29 on April 24... :)

Casting Call!

April 3, 2009

So my fabulous cousin lives in Hollywood and is all sorts of cool. Anywho, she does casting calls for many different shows and this weekend they will be doing casting calls in Charlotte! Yay! I’m still sad my cousins not coming though. She sends me the flyer for all the casting calls so I have decided to start blogging about them! If you know anyone interested at all, please direct them to the flyer!

Is your house messy?

March 31, 2009

That’s ok, so is mine! Want proof? lol. Here it is. My house has been a disaster for a little while and I could not find the time to clean it up enough to take some decent pics of my kids. What is a gal supposed to do then? Take pics of the mess! That’s right, I took pics of my mess and made a little video of it! Hope everyone enjoys!\

Project Mess

sara-anne: I love that you are not afraid to do this.
